A missing match is inconclusive. It can result from spelling, lag, another custodian, or a coverage limit. Do not turn absence from VINELink into proof of release. The distinction between a scheduled date and a completed event is critical. FDC calls its future profile field Current Release Date and warns that it can change. A VINE movement notice may also represent a transfer, not freedom. Use controlled language: reported custody change for the alert, confirmed county-custody release for HCSO's exact record, and confirmed FDC release for the state release database with both past dates.

VINELink's absence from all three is a coverage limit, not proof of release.
Note: A VINE event should be paired with the originating or receiving agency record whenever the date, release type, or destination matters.
Hamilton County's Two Alert Layers
Florida has two separate notification registration layers for state corrections matters. Direct VINELink registration supports custody alerts, but the FDC Victim Services notification request is a separate system for eligible victims. FDC states that contact data entered directly in VINELink is not shared with its Victim Services database. Changing one registration does not update the other.
